A Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) jawan gunned down four of his senior officials over denial of leave on Thursday. The incident happened on the premises of the Nabinagar Power Generation Company in Aurangabad district of Bihar.
“Investigations are on… this much is clear that he fired in a fit of rage,” SP Satyaprakash told media. “He seems to be upset. He said he was furious because he was not granted leave, but he is not giving straight replies to questions,” However CISF denies that leave was an issue. CISF PRO Manjit Singh mentioned in a press statement that “He had just returned from leave eight days ago i.e. on 4th January, 2017, and had not asked for leave again,” he also mentioned that the constable had taken more leave then the annual normal leave during the last year and leave should not be an issue.
The victims were identified as Arvind Kumar of Muzaffarnagar and Amarnath Mishra of Darbhanga, they both died on the spot while ASI Gaurishankar Ram of Garhwa, Jharkhand, and head constable Bachcha Sharma of Patna died of injuries in the hospital.
