The recent video posted by the B.S.F. Jawan Bahadur Yadav about the pathetic condition and quality of food offered to BSF jawans where he claimed that the senior officers swindled the money meant for the forces, has taken a different angle.
Border Security Force (BSF) Inspector General DK Upadhyay on Tuesday said that Yadav was known for being an alcoholic and used to misbehave with senior officers.
He also added that he used to carry mobile phone while on duty which is against the disciplinary guidelines and was habitual offender of absenteeism, Because of all these reason he served mostly in headquarters under the supervision of dedicated superior officer.
Upadhyay claimed that “Jawan Yadav was deployed in current location only 10 days back to support high altitude forward locations on experimental basis to observe the improvements of past counselling.” DIG Level officers had visited that location in the past and have never received any complaint from any jawan.
Meanwhile Deputy Inspector General M D S Mann said that Yadav has had 4 bad enteries in his twenty years of service, He was an indiscipline Jawan and indulged in disciplinary actions. He was to be court-martialed in 2010 but considering his family he wasn’t dismissed.
Adding to it DIG also said that if any of the allegation made by Jawn he will certainly initiate an action against the defaulters.
After the video went viral, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh has ordered an inquiry into the allegations made by BSF constable.
After the allegations, the BSF now plans to shift the jawan to a different headquarters. Meanwhile, they also plan to launch an inquiry about the soldier carrying a mobile phone while on duty.
